CAGLAR GOKBULUT, B.Arch. Ma.CT.
Caglar Gokbulut is an architectural / urban designer, who has received his Bachelor of Architecture degree from Virginia Tech and Masters in City and Technology degree from Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia (IAAC). Prior to joining City Design Studio, he worked as a Junior Architect in Tabanlioglu Architects in Istanbul between 2014-2015. He has received multiple awards and honors for his work in architecture and urban design, including Augmented & Adaptive City Award with his final project Adaptive Neighborhood at IAAC. In 2020, he received an AIA Los Angeles Photography Award.

FAROOQ AMEEN, AIA, RIBA
Farooq Ameen is the founding Principal at City Design Studio. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the A+D>Architecture and Design Museum in Los Angeles and the Council on Open Building. He is a licensed architect and urban designer and received a Master of Architecture from the University of California, Los Angeles and a Bachelor of Architecture from the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology. Ameen has held academic appointments at various schools including the Southern California Institute of Architecture (Los Angeles & Lugano, Switzerland), Woodbury University, Calpoly Pomona and the Bauhaus, Dessau.
He has lectured extensively including Columbia University, the Berlin Stadt-Forum, Harvard University and UCLA as well as professional bodies such as the AIA and the APA. In 1995, he founded the International Center for Urban Studies originally at SCI-Arc. The Center conducted interdisciplinary workshops in Europe, North America and Asia, engaged in complex urban design explorations. Ameen is the author/editor of numerous publications including “Contemporary Architecture and City Form: The South Asian Paradigm”, “50 Under 50: Innovators of the 21st Century”, and the forthcoming “deCoding Asian Urbanism”.
Current and recent projects include the Inglewood Basketball and Entertainment Center for the Clippers, Transit Oriented Development Plans for 15 communities along the 20-mile West Santa Ana Transit Corridor in Los Angeles County ,the Zizhu International High Tech Zone Masterplan in Shanghai, China and the King Fahd Master Plan for the MYAS City Center on the Red Sea for the Royal Commissionin the KSA.
