PARAMOUNT-ROSECRANS TRANSIT ORIENTED COMMUNITY MASTERPLAN
The Paramount / Rosecrans Station Area Transit-Oriented Community Plan is based on the community’s vision for the proposed West Santa Ana Transit Corridor Station. These are articulated by principles identified through documented outreach efforts. The proposed mixed-use community adjacent to the busy Paramount Boulevard commercial corridor leverages the primary opportunity site of the existing swap meet on the old drive-in theater site south of the station. It extends the urban fabric through a walkable street grid, improves connectivity for bikes and other alternative modes of transportation.
The transit plaza is adjacent to a higher density mixed-use development integrated with a shared parking structure. The plan establishes a diverse network of open spaces that are connected through a pedestrian network providing a range of scales and experiences that complement the residential and commercial uses. The existing stadium theater is the anchor for development along Rosecrans, while active retail frontage leads to an active plaza that is shared with residential mixed-use.
