Job Title: Project Manager
Required:
Bachelor’s in Architecture or similar degree & 24 months experience in architectural project management of large-scale construction. In lieu of primary requirements employer will accept Master’s degree in Architecture, or similar degree.
Special Requirements: Must have demonstrated proficient knowledge of business operational management, computational design, and in the use of the following architectural design technologies : AutoCAD, REVIT, Rhinoceros, 3DS Max, Grasshopper, Sketchup, V-Ray, and Adobe Suites: Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, After Effect. Employer will accept Special Requirements gained through employment experience and/or academic coursework. An architects’ license is not required. All work will be supervised by a licensed architect.
Duties: The Project Manager performs the following duties:
- Manage architectural project teams by coordinating of work so that it is executed in a continuous, prompt manner within the project budget and ensuring that the team’s performance is effective during fluctuating workloads
- Oversee consultant teams to ensure design reflects client needs, and supports construction activities.
- Manage the presentation of design and construction concepts to client and consultants using appropriate CAD drawings (such as AutoCAD, REVIT, Rhinoceros, 3DS Max, Grasshopper, Sketchup, V-Ray, and Adobe Suites: Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, After Effect), photos and other visual methods and providing editorial input for the content. Reviewing, organizing and producing architectural documentation and computer models.
- Manage the preparation of effective graphic presentations, such as drawings, renderings, physical models, and finish material boards based on a working knowledge of construction industry standards, safety standards, accessibility requirements, building codes, and California Administrative Codes.
- Coordinate and oversee all the technical activities relating to computational design, including the guidance and mentorship of other team members throughout the design process.
- Ensure and oversee the accurate preparation of construction documents.
- Spearhead preparation and documentation of business proposals under guidance from the firm leadership
- Managing the survey of current and trending elements of design, construction, and technology through research of industry publications, manuals, and textbooks.
- Managing the exploration and evaluation of emerging architectural technologies to determine and expand the skillset of the business.
- Managing the preparation of project scope, schedule and resource options for approved
- Manage, develop and execute marketing plans to seek new business opportunities by conducting an market research and identifying the key players and competitors in the profession utilizing business operational management tools.
- Manage the development and update of a strategic business plan to expand the operations onto new markets for new business opportunities based on the priorities of the company.
- Develop methods for simplifications or improvements in established business procedures and professional work methods.
- Advising the Principal in Charge of progress on project expectations, deadlines, and deliverables while overseeing the scheduling and timeline
